I know that for some reason some senators had said they would not vote for the rescue (bailout) plan unless ACORN was removed from it. I have read other articles that ACORN was involved in funny business in Florida, etc. Now Kansas. If there is someone committing voter fraud I want it on the mainstream media! I have to get news from the online news first and then IF I hear anything more it's usually several days later. This is serious!
The second article also from the WSJ describes one of the most outrageous acts of attempted daylight robbery. With the country looking into the barrel of the Housing crisis shotgun, Dems in the Senate...the place from which Obama hails...attempted to put a clause in the Housing Recovery Bill that would have directed 20% of any Gov profits on the sale of a foreclosed property. In other words while the Senate was trying to bail out the country from its housing disaster, Dems were making sure that their friends at ACORN would have enough money to keep their dishonest activities going. Here's the exact, amazing language from the Democratic proposal, breaking out how the money would be divided and dispensed: "Deposits. Not less than 20% of any profit realized on the sale of each troubled asset purchased under this Act shall be deposited as provided in paragraph (2). "Use of Deposits. 65% shall be deposited into the Housing Trust Fund established under section 1338 of the Federal Housing Enterprises Regulatory Reform Act . . . ; and 35% shall be deposited into the Capital Magnet Fund . . . "Remainder Deposited in the Treasury. All amounts remaining after payments under paragraph (1) shall be paid into the General Fund of the Treasury for reduction of the public debt." What we have here essentially are a pair of government slush funds created in July as part of the Economic Recovery Act that pump tax dollars into the coffers of low-income housing advocacy groups, such as Acorn. .... ACORN -According to ACORN, Obama trained its Chicago members in leadership seminars; in turn, ACORN volunteers worked on his campaigns. Obama also sat on the boards of the Woods Fund and Joyce Foundation, both of which poured money into ACORN’s coffers. ACORN head Maude Hurd gushes that Obama is the candidate who “best understands and can affect change on the issues ACORN cares about” — like ensuring their massive pipeline to your hard-earned money.... The largest radical group in America. Nov. 4 won't be a smooth process because Obama recently donated $800,000.00 from his campaign funds to them. For what? To stuff ballot boxes, which they're SO good at doing and to harass people at the polls.... The following is from an article in 2004, before Obama became known: ""This is especially true in Florida, where the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) is the subject of a state investigation for potentially criminal voter-registration activity.... Most of these programs are conducted locally, by state-level ACORN organizations — which are often set up as 501(c)3 nonprofit entities distinct from the national ACORN umbrella, a 501(c)4 lobbying organization. Sounds benign enough — except that, according to Bob Huberty, executive vice president of the Capital Research Center, these tax-exempt 501(c)3s "have no reason for existence other than to get grants from the government and foundations." They are, essentially, an ACORN front for asking Uncle Sam to subsidize political activity.... The nominal purpose of those millions is to "provide low rent housing & loan counseling services to low income individuals." But if the government is funding the actual, legitimate work of ACORN at the local 501(c)3 level, it means that the national lobbying organization can dedicate more of its unrestricted resources to electioneering.... According to an EPI study, when the ACORN Housing Corp. applied for the grant, they denied any connections to the main ACORN lobbying group (the grant is not for political advocacy). But the AmeriCorps inspector general discovered that "not only was AHC created by ACORN, engaged in numerous transactions with one another, and sharing staff and office space — but it utilized the AmeriCorps grant to increase ACORN membership, a violation of federal guidelines."... The EPI study documents ACORN's involvement in an $850,000 labor-union embezzlement scheme in the late 1990s; in 2003, ACORN was found to have violated the National Labor Relations Act and was ordered to "rehire and pay restitution to employees terminated for attempting to form a union."... ACORN tried to exempt itself from California's minimum-wage requirements. According to EPI, "ACORN argued that being forced to pay higher wages would mean that they would hire fewer employees — the very dilemma faced by businesses. Incredibly, ACORN stated that paying its employees a lower wage would allow them to be more sympathetic to the low- and moderate-income families they were attempting to help. ACORN argued that abiding by the state minimum wage would limit their ability to promote their agenda and would therefore be a violation of their First Amendment rights."... Florida ACORN also registered thousands of felons — who, under Florida law, are ineligible to vote. They can, tech
I know that they're finally being investigated for voter fraud after at least several years of committing it. The investigation has now spread to 10 states. Spread the news about this. I am.
It's not funny business; it's massive, nationwide voter fraud. The news of ACORN's involvement usually gets buried because a) the members are mostly black and reporters are afraid to be called racist, and b) because most reporters are liberal and have a soft spot for the candidates ACORN supports.
In Short: It is a voter-fraud outfit that registers voters multiple times under the same name.
They thought they were slick putting down one name 10 times and not think they would get caught. who ever did that was very smart. they even got accused of registering a 12 year old? lol i'm glad they are being investigated cos that just aint right
THEY'RE CROOKS JUST LIKE OBAMA!! OBAMA = ACORN
Obama worked for them. I think 11 states are being looked at now for fraud.
HOW CAN THE LIBERAL MEDIA BE OBSESSED WITH THE WAY PALIN TALKS AND COMPLETELY IGNORE ACORN AND THE THOUSANDS OF FAKE VOTER REGISTRATIONS BEING INVESTIGATED BY THE FBI? IT WOULD SEEM TO Hartselle EVEN DEMOCRATS WOULD WANT THIS ISSUE PUT TO REST AND TALKED ABOUT!
I, too, had to find out about this organization online. Why is this not big news? And if Obama is so honorable, why is he not denouncing their actions?
The rigged votes for Democrats in Ohio they still lost
