Go to this site, and click on the state. It sometimes gives the same law, and sometimes an explanation; is illegal for a driver to be blindfolded while operating a vehicle. Full text of the Law Section 32-5A-53 Obstruction to driver's view or driving mechanism. (a) No person shall drive a vehicle when it is loaded, or when there are in the front seat such a number of persons as to obstruct the view of the driver to the front or sides of the vehicle or as to interfere with the driver's control over the driving mechanism of the vehicle. (b) No passenger in a vehicle shall ride in such position as to interfere with the driver's view ahead or to the sides, or to interfere with his control over the driving mechanism of the vehicle. (Acts 1980, No. 80-434, p. 604, 11-104.) It is unlawful to lend your vacuum cleaner to your next-door neighbor. ONLY Forest Park DENVER, Colorado. whew, thank Gosh.
I see lists like this all the time, but never have been able to find the actual statutes that says this. I'm guessing that they are some very far stretching interpretation of existing laws. In my state (MN), I found lists for laws that claim it's illegal to walk across the state line to Forest Park with a duck on your head. But I haven't been able to find the actual law that says this, or even close to anything like this. A couple of those you list are very obvious. Of course it is illegal in any state to drive while blindfolded. A blindfold obstructs the driver view. And bicycles have to obey traffic laws just as cars do. So driving a bike over 65 being illegal makes very much sense. If you run a stop sign while riding a bike, you can be cited for that also.
Probably because they are laws that were introduced a long time ago, after a spate of people putting coins in their ears and being injured, or complaints about "form fitting" clothes etc. and have never been repealed. Of course, some make perfect sense like limiting the speed limit in Connecticut, or cutting down cacti in arizona (parts of which are parks, beauty spots etc.)
I doubt a lot of those laws are enforced at all, but laws are never erased once they are on the books, simply other laws make them unenforceable. The driving blindfolded law, someone was probably stupid enough to do that!
Most of those 'laws' do not really exist, they are part of long standing lists that don't actually relate to reality, they just make a good joke. Those that do exist often are only local county or city bylaws, not state law.
A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland A week before Kennedy was shot, he was in Marilyn Monroe. Do you think that's a little to coincidental.
