You owe the credit card company $198 Your remaining credit, the amount you can spend is $292 Your credit limit is the total amount of money that the credit card company is willing to lend you ($500).
You owe the credit card company $198. Your remaining credit (the amount you can spend) is $292. Your credit limit is the total amount of money that you can owe the credit card company at one time.
Almost correct. You really don't have $292 to spend. CC companies add interest to your current balance BEFORE they deduct your payment. So, if your interest is 18%, they will add about $3 to your $198 balance before they deduct your payment. If you spend the $292, that would bring your balance to $500. Adding $7.50 interest to your balance brings it to $507.50. That's over your limit and you'll be hit with an over limit fee. So you only have about $284 to spend. If it is a pre-paid card, they'll do the same thing - add interest or fees first before deducting your payment.
Thats is right by my count!! $500 dollars minus-198 you owe means you still can spend another $292 dollars more?? you owe $198 dollars.
YES YOU CAN SPEND 292 AND YOU DO OWE 198...KEEP Arizona MIND THE MORE YOU SPEND THE HIGHER YOU INTEREST WILL BE..WHEN YOU MAKE PYMNTS A PORTION OF IT GOES TOWARD YOUR PRINCIPAL AND MAJORITY TO YOU FINANCE (INTEREST) CHARGES SO IT WILL TAKE YOU LONGER TO PAY AND WILL LOWER YOUR CREDIT SCORE...SO KEEP IT UNDER 350 AT THE MOST...
You can spend 292.and max it out and the interest will push you over the limitthats another fee plus interest and after going over limit they will max your interest. good deal eh?
