This is the current configuration/specifation. Will the graphics card utilize the ram from the laptop to improve it's graphics performance? if yes, by how much will it improve? a little? Now a days some laptops graphics cards can be upgraded but it will be expensive if you can Video Memory ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 2400 XT with up to 1GB of HyperMemory™ (256 MB of dedicated GDDR2 VRAM, up to 768 MB of shared system memory) will be slightly slower than a radeon hd 2400xt for a desktop comp because they ( ati and nvidia ) for a laptop they will slow down the core clock speed and perhaps the memory clock speed too the hd 2400 supports dx 10 ( and i believe 10.1 too but that will depend on when the graphics chip was made) should be able to play most current games but maybe not at the highest settings so you may have to turn of AA and some other stuff going up to 4 GB of ddr2 ram from 3 GB will not show to much improvement gl and tc
If its a laptop, there will be slightly but not so big difference, no matter how much ram u put in, the system only supports up to 1GB of graphics memory, hyper memory means shared memory that is taken from ur RAM, but if u plan to play game, i dun think a laptop is ur perfect choice
Ram upgrade will improve the system performances.... specially when you use different application at one time... but it wont have much impact on graphics.. and 4 gb ram.... its really waste.
U can not upgrade a video card on a laptop . and the onboard video will use some system memory for it also windows vista is the worest winodws on the makert cause microsoft will see alot more in your computer . xp is better
Well, if your going for video performance, a 2400 prolly your biggest concern seriously. and 4 gigs is totally overkill dude. 2 is fine. bu then again if the screen is 1280, then maybe the 2400 will be enuff. not pushing to many pixels..
RAM upgrades almost always improve performance as long as the upgrade is at least as fast as what you've got.
