Payday Loan in Rhode Island

I started with a 9,500$ loan. i let it get delinquent like a dummy and the interest is eating me alive. i can only afford $70 a month right now and thats only 50 percent of my payment towards my loans and the rest goes to intrest. (for example my loan is split up into 4 sections and in one section part of what i pay is $7 per month towards my loan and $7 in intrest) at tax time i paid a grand over all my loans and STILL owe $10,600!!! I am never going to get this crap paid off. obviously when i can afford to pay more i do.and i always pay extra on my loan with the highest intrest rate. i mean other than my credit score dropping a little because of the deliquency, i have noticed lately my score goes up about 5-10 points a month. im assuming because ive been paying on time/ extra when i can. but my score would be sooo much better if i could get this crap closed! my lowest loan is $1,800. would it be better to pay extra on that to get it paid and closed rather than paying on my loan with the highest intrest? Im just at a loss. its been a year and what i owe just keeps going up. im already on fixed intrest.

I can only afford $70 a month because I have to work around my husband school schedule and we have 2 children. I only make about $1,200 a month and our rent is $800leaving $400. Our bills are usually $200 a month. Cheap $15 WalMart phones. No internet or cable. That leaves $200. And I drive 30 mins to and from work and my husband drives 45 mins to and from school so thats about $100 in gas leaving me with $100 to pay my loan of $70 and having $30 to last the month. I don't need any one telling me to try harder. I'm doing the best I can.

You got a college education and now you make $1200 a month... what is wrong with this picture? You either chose poorly when it comes to your degree or you need to look for a job that allows you to pay off your debt and still make enough to pay the bills. The idea was to get the education because then you can get a better paying job. Any cashier on little bit more than minimum wage brings home $1200. All they needed is a high school diploma. And your husband is racking up student loans too, right? How about he gets a regular job, works full time helps you pay off your student debt then once that is paid off you two start saving for his school tuition and then he goes back to school? You two chose to start a family when neither one of you was able to support this financially. That is the choices you made. Now you need to deal with them.

You borrowed the money to get an education. Presumably you got the education. Now you need to pay back. "I can only afford $70 per month" doesn't really fly. You need to cut out EVERY optional expense to pay what you owe or you're right, you will NEVER crawl out from under it. That means no iPhone service. No espresso. No bars/booze. No tobacco. No restaurants. No organic groceries. No movies. No vacations. No parties. No new clothes. No $50 haircuts, $75 hair color, mani-pedis, facials or massages. Until you cut out all that stuff you're LYING if you say you can only afford $70 per month. It also means get a second job if you don't already have one. If I were you I probably would try to knock out the $1800 first but only if I could do it pretty fast by tightening my belt. Virtually EVERYONE can tighten their belt AND work more. That combo is what will help crawl out. ETA: OMG you went and had two kids with all this debt? Sorry you were offended by my answer but I'm offended by your sense of self-entitlement. You've got this debt, chose to have two kids, and now your husband is in school instead of working two jobs? He needs to quit school for two years, get two jobs, pay off the debt and then revisit school. You are totally backwards.

Your husband needs to drop out of school for now, and help support his family. {I am guessing he is also racking up massive school loans - so you will never get ahead). On the flip side, borrow from your parents (at a very low rate), and repay them at $70 a month.

How many hours a week do you work? $70 a month is nothing, that is working 10 hours or so extra at minimum wage a month.

You either have to ask for help from your family or get second jobs.

Has anyone received a call from Pacific Monarch regarding a possible draw for 1 of 5 prizes?
