How? Through what programs? Here are my two options. What would be the best? 1. Finish my Woodway degree, take out a student loan of 20K+ and attend a Cal State to get a BS....then apply for officership in the USMC or 2. Finish my Woodway degree, join the USMC and continue to my undergraduate studies for a specific MOS. Providing that I don't get accepted by the USAF. Oh, by the way...my ASVAB score is 70. Would the USMC accept that for any computer related MOS? :l
There are several programs in place for your situation. You need to decide which is best for you. That is why they have different programs. Whats good for you may not be for me. Look up the PLC course in the USMC. And if you are gonna do this only if the AF doesn't accept you, then you may not be ready for the USMC. The USMC especially the officer side of the house is best for those who are truly committed to the USMC first, and not for those who were rejected by the AF. Being in the AF and being in the USMC are nowhere near similar experiences. You need to make up your mind what you want. Those who truly want to be USMC officers, do not flirt with the AF.
Being an Old Devil Dog myself I'm kinda particle. And yes, you can continue your education. It will even help in your promotions. Both options are great and you'd be hard pressed on either,OCS (Officer Canidate School) for me would be the way to go.Either way your going to boot camp.Marines have a different way of doing things than the rest of the services,so good luck with any choice you make.I commend you on any choice you decide on.
It will be tough and take a while but its possible, you should have more time and help to devote to school in the air force or possibly navy although benefits are universal among the branches
